I was never around for when Gary Balough and Kenny Weld brought the 112 Batmobile to SDW in 1980 can anybody explain to me what the whole weekend was like, i know there wasnt anybody in the field that could even catch Gary that day? In 1980, Weld built the infamous "Batmobile" for driver Gary Balough. The car was two seconds faster than any other car at the 150 Dirt Modifieds in Syracuse. Following the win, the rule book was rewritten to ban cars like that from being ever raced again.

I still hadn't heard the name of the driver until I heard the public address announcer say that the 112 was being driven by Gary Balough. Seeing the speed of that car along with the racing ability of Balough made me realize how the Schaefer 200 was probably going to turn out.
