Following the huge success of The Stick Man trail last year at High Lodge in Thetford, Jamie and I decided to take the kids back this October half term to visit, and complete, The Gruffalo Trail.

The Gruffalo and Zog trails were the main attraction at Thetford Forest for us. The Zog Trail was retired after 2019 but the amazing carved characters from the Thetford Forest Gruffalo Trail (from the Julia Donaldson book) remain. The Gruffalo Trail - Thetford Forest In 2019 the Gruffalo Trail we had a fantastic time with the Zog Trail.

In previous years High Lodge offered a Gruffalo's Trail which the finishing point was finding the beautifully carved Gruffalo sculpture in the forest. Thankfully the Gruffalo still remains and is part of the Stick Man trail. Whilst I was snapping photos of the Gruffalo, I managed to capture this photo of Piglet blowing kisses to him.
