Tra le varianti che si sviluppano attorno al gruppo Nuvolau-Averau e che amiamo ripetere c'è questo bellissimo percorso che partendo dal Rifugio Fedare, poco sotto al Passo Giau, sale fino alla Forcella Nuvolau, dove è situato il Rifugio Averau, e di qui, con una rampa finale un po' faticosa, raggiunge la cima del monte Nuvolau e all'omonimo rifugio.
