Originally known as the Vancouver East Culture Centre, The Cultch went through extensive renovations in 2009 and stuck with the nickname dubbed by locals. The Cultch has three different venues: the main 200-seat theatre, the smaller attached Vancity Culture Lab, and the York theatre on Commercial Drive, which opened in 2013.

27 reviews of The Cultch "The Vancouver East Cultural Centre is a beautiful venue at the corner of Venables and Victoria, more commonly known as The Cultch. The building is a convert Methodist church, so it retains an ethereal essence that blends perfectly with the balconies and red velvet seats of the main theater. I've only seen one show here, but the programs generally include kids, adult.
